RECOMMENDATION

Waive the Reading, Adopt Ordinance No. 2151 New Series, and Declare that said Title, which appears on the Agenda, shall be determined to have been read by Title and further reading waived.

REPORT NARRATIVE:

On July 15, 2015, the City Council Introduced Ordinance No. 2151 New Series, by the Following Roll Call Vote: AYES: Carr, Constantine, Siebert, Tate; NOES: None; ABSTAIN: None; ABSENT: Librers.

 

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:                     Inform

A 10-day public hearing notice was published on Friday, July 3, 2015 in the Morgan Hill Times

Newspaper and notices were mailed to property owners within 300 feet of the project pursuant to

Government Code Sections 65090-65096.

 

PRIOR CITY COUNCIL AND COMMISSION ACTIONS:

The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on this item at their June 23, 2015 meeting

and voted unanimously (6-0) to recommend City Council approval of the proposed Development

Agreement by and between the City of Morgan Hill and Quail Meadows Development, LLC, filed

under application DA-15-04: Secretariat - Quail Meadows.

 

FISCAL AND RESOURCE IMPACT:

An application fee was collected to cover the cost of processing this application.

 

CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act): 

Categorical Exemption

 

The project is exempt from further environmental review pursuant to Section 15303(a) of Guidelines for CEQA and Section 21083 of the Public Resources Code because the project includes the construction and location of limited number of new small facilities (up to three single family residences within an urbanized area). No separate approval of a CEQA document is necessary
