Upcoming Events
Mondays in August, 4-5pm: Lego Club
Come check out our LEGOS and build whatever you want! We will have LEGOS available for ages 2 and up and will be displaying the creations in the library until the next meeting.

Want to finally make some of those crafts you see on Pinterest? Join us one Saturday a month for crafting fun! All supplies are free and provided while they last.
Saturday, August 13th 3-5pm: Teen Saturday Movies
Come check out a new release movie at the library! These movies are geared for teens. Many are rated PG-13 and appropriate for teens ages 13 and up, parental guidance is suggested for ages under 13. This month’s movie is Divergent: Allegiant.
Monday, August 22nd 7-8:30pm: Planning your Fall and Winter Vegetable Garden
There are so many types of vegetables you can grow in fall and winter after your tomatoes are gone! Leafy greens, root vegetables, broccoli and other cool season crops will be covered. Learn how to grow them successfully and enjoy fresh salads all year! Presented by Master Gardener Joan Cloutier.

Saturday August 27th, 3-5pm: Family Movie Matinee
Join us for a family friendly feature film on the big screen every month and free freshly popped popcorn. This month’s movie: Zootopia
Tuesday, August 30th, 7:30-8:45 pm: Books with Dessert Book Club
A good book, good company and some tasty treats. Bring a dessert to share and join us as we discuss the book The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window & Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson.
Outreach
Library staff participated in the annual Morgan Hill 4th of July parade. A decorated county van filled in for the Bookmobile this year, and staff passed out 3,000 bubbles, bookmarks and pencils to the crowd.
The library participated in two Summer Fun in the Park events at Galvan Park, connecting with over 200 members and signing up children, teens and adults for the Summer Reading Challenge.
The children’s department reached out to summer groups and signed up 58 summer school classes, summer camps, and childcare centers for the Summer Reading Challenge. The classes participate as a group, engaging in fun learning activities as well as reading.
