RECOMMENDATION(S)
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt resolution approving the following actions:
1. Accept the Ultraviolet Disinfection System Upgrades Project in the final amount of $60,524; and
2. Direct the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion with the County of Santa Clara's Recorder's Office

REPORT NARRATIVE:
The City Council awarded the contract for the Ultraviolet Disinfection System Upgrades Project to Knorr System, Inc. at its January 21, 2015 meeting. The project replaced the undersized ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system at the Morgan Hill Centennial Recreation Center with an upgraded system that maintains the chlorine levels within the new ranges required by the California Department of Public Health.

The work was completed on June 23, 2015 in accordance with the plans and specifications for the project. There was no change order and the final amount of the contract was $60,524.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Inform
Staff posted notifications and informed CRC members prior to closing the pool for the installation of the UV Disinfection System upgrade. The pool was closed for less than four hours.

PRIOR CITY COUNCIL AND COMMISSION ACTIONS:
On December 17, 2014, City Council adopted a resolution amending the adopted FY 14-15 budget to appropriate $65,000 to fund the acquisition and installation of a UV water disinfection system upgrade at the Centennial Recreation Center.
