RECOMMENDATION(S)
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a resolution approving the following actions;
1. Approve a professional services agreement with Luhdorff & Scalmanini Consulting Engineers to provide design services for new buildings and equipment at the Main Ave. and Walnut Grove well sites in an amount not to exceed $229,840; and
2. Authorize the City Manager to execute and administer the professional services agreement.

REPORT NARRATIVE:
On April 15, 2015, City Council awarded the Drilling of Four Water Supply Wells (Boys Ranch Well #2, Jackson Well #3, Main Avenue Well, and Walnut Grove Well) to increase the City's water supply capacity and to address to urgencies surrounding the ongoing drought.

On April 29, 2015, City Council amended the Luhdorff & Scalmanini Consultant Engineers agreement to perform the next step towards completing the Boys Ranch Well #2 and Jackson Well #3 projects. This work includes the analysis of the wellheads, motor controls and water treatment equipment for these sites and designing modifications necessary to operate the newly drilled wells.

The remaining two well sites being drilled as part of the April 15, 2015 Council action are the new Main Avenue and Walnut Grove well sites. These two sites will require new wellheads, motor controls, water treatment equipment and the buildings to protect the new equipment.
