BUSINESS
Item 1: Spider Naming and Coloring Contest Review and Selection Process
Commissioner Castleberry suggested to lay out all images by color contest and by naming contest, to review the coloring contest submissions first and naming submissions second. Commissioners agreed.
After reviewing the coloring contest submissions, Commissioner Castleberry suggested selecting a winner and runner up, as there were two top submissions. Commissioners agreed.
Winner: submitted by Ella
Runner up: submitted by Robert
Commissioner Castleberry suggested reviewing the name entries. Commissioners agreed.
7:22pm - Submissions were narrowed to top 6: Henry, Jasper, Sparkle, Hiram, Hairyeight, Uvas
Commissioners discussed the names
Commissioners agreed on the winner: Hiram
Winner: submitted by John Henry
Commissioner Hennessey moved to frame the coloring contest images next to a frame and display them in the library for a period of 30 days and at the conclusion of the 30 days, give the frames, images, certificates to the winner and runner up. Seconded by Commissioner Castleberry.
7:28pm - Discussion regarding framing and notification of newspaper.
Commissioner Castleberry suggested the winners be invited to the August 5th meeting for announcement and photos.
Commissioner Hennessey suggested to have the staff scan images of the coloring contest winner and runner up and release a PR regarding the naming and coloring contest winners. Tim will be point of contact.
