Planning Commission will provide input on a proposed schedule for the comprehensive update of the City’s Zoning Code and for the drafting of the Residential Development Control System (RDCS) Competition Manual.

PROJECT SUMMARY:
Zoning Code Update
A Public Review Draft Zoning Code is anticipated to be released in mid-October 2016 with opportunities for the Planning Commission to provide feedback on the Draft Zoning Code at meetings in November and December. Staff recommends that Planning Commission feedback be provided at a series of study sessions held from 5:30 to 7:00 pm on regular Planning Commission evenings.
A Public Review Draft Final Zoning Code is anticipated to be released in February 2017 with Planning Commission and City Council hearings in March and April.
RDCS Draft Competition Manual
A Revised Draft RDCS Competition Manual that is based on earlier feedback from the Planning Commission and that is based on the RDCS Update Ordinance that is going before voters in November, is anticipated to be available for public review in late September 2016.
Staff proposes that the Planning Commission convene a series of workshops starting in October to review and provide feedback on the Revised Draft Competition Manual.
