Waive the reading, adopt Ordinance No. 2213, New Series, and declare that said title, which appears on the agenda, shall be determined to have been read by title and further reading waived.

REPORT NARRATIVE:

On August 24, 2016, the City Council Introduced Ordinance No. 2213 New Series, by the Following Roll Call Vote: AYES: Carr, Constantine, Librers, Siebert, Tate; NOES: None; ABSTAIN: None; ABSENT: None.

 

The purpose of this new ordinance is to adopt an expedited, streamlined solar plan review and permitting process compliant with the Solar Rights Act of California, AB2188.

PRIOR CITY COUNCIL AND COMMISSION ACTIONS:

On January 18, 2012, City Council adopted the solar permitting fee.

Not a Project

 

The proposed ordinance is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3) in that it does not have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment.
