ART A LA CARTE EVENT
RECOMMENDATION
Provide recommendations on the next steps in management of the Art a la Carte Event.

REPORT NARRATIVE:
The Art a la Carte event has been held at the Community and Cultural Center for over 10 years. The event was initially coordinated by City staff. Several City positions were eliminated during the City’s budget reduction strategy in the years 2008-2010. At that time it was proposed that the Art a la Carte event be eliminated with several other programs. However, the LCAC formally took on coordinating the event. Amy Whelan, then on the commission, became the lead on the event. After leaving the Commission several years ago, Amy continued to coordinate the event and list the City and LCAC as sponsors. Amy will be coordinating the event for 2017, but will not be able to continue to do it after that time.
This item is being brought forward now to being the discussions on next steps for the Art a la Carte event.
