Mondays in September 4-5pm: Lego Club
Come check out our LEGOS and build whatever you want! We will have LEGOS available for ages 2 and up and will be displaying the creations in the library until the next meeting.

Saturday, September 10th, 2-3pm: Pinterest Craft Club
Want to finally make some of those crafts you see on Pinterest? Join us one Saturday a month for crafting fun! All supplies are free and provided while they last.  This month’s craft: tile coasters.

Learn the basics of game of bridge during this free series of 10 classes taught by ACBL Accredited Instructor Al Peponis.

Saturday, September 17th, 3-5pm: Teen Saturday Movies
Come check out a new release movie at the library! These movies are geared for teens. Many are rated PG-13 and appropriate for teens ages 13 and up, parental guidance is suggested for ages under 13. This month’s movie is Captain America 3: Civil War.

 

Monday, September 21st, 7-8:30 pm:  How to Create a Garden to Attract Native Bees and Other Pollinators.

Talk presented by Stephen Rosenthal of the California Native Plant Society.

 

Saturday September 24th, 3-5pm: Family Movie Matinee
Join us for a family friendly feature film on the big screen every month and free freshly popped popcorn.  This month’s movie: Kung Fu Panda 3.

Tuesday, September 27th, 7:00-8:30 pm:  Help End Human Trafficking <javascript:jumpToDetails('/signup/EventDetails',%20'75153')>

Think human trafficking doesn't exist in Santa Clara County? Think again. If we do nothing, labor and sex traffickers will target our neighborhoods, schools and businesses. Standing together we can keep traffickers outPresented by Community Solutions, South Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking and the Santa Clara County Library District.

 

 

Tuesday, September 27th, 7:30-8:45 pm: Books with Dessert Book Club

A good book, good company and some tasty treats. Bring a dessert to share and join us as we discuss the book A Paris Apartment by Michelle Gable. 


                                                   Outreach

The library participated in the August Summer Fun in the Park event at Galvan Park, connecting with over 142 people and signing up children for the early learning program 1,000 Books Before 6. 

The library staff is tabling at local back-to-school nights, offering information about library resources for students such as Brainfuse, databases, and graded booklists.
