LCAC RECOGNITIONS
RECOMMENDATION
That the Commission discuss the establishment of a more formal recognition program for community members.
BODY
REPORT NARRATIVE:
This item was requested by the Commission at the December regular meeting. Currently the commission does not have any formal program for recognizing those in the Community for acts of volunteerism or outstanding civic work.
City staff has no formal recommendation on this potential program, except that recognitions are limited to those under the purview of the Library, Culture and Arts Commission.
Commissioner Vrabel has provided several examples of recognition programs that are available in the attachment to this report.
