REPORT NARRATIVE:
The City Council awarded the contract for the Dog Park Gate and Fencing Project to Diery E. Maldonado dba Cal West Fence at its June 17, 2015 meeting. The project included the installation of three new gates and approximately 450 additional linear feet of chain link fencing to the existing dog park located in Community Park.

The work was completed on August 7, 2015, in accordance with the plans and specifications for the project. There were no change orders, and the final contract amount was $14,911. The contractor completed the project on schedule and within budget.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Consult
Members of the MHDOG and other park users were consulted about the design of the improvements and the plans were developed with their input incorporated. A general notice about the installation of the new fencing was posted at the dog park entrance before construction began. Weekly construction updates were posted on the City's website and on Next Door Morgan Hill to reach as many residents as possible. During construction, the Facilities Manager informed MHDOG representatives of the project's schedule and progress. MHDOG shared the project schedule with its membership.
