RECOMMENDATION(S)
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a resolution approving and authorizing the City Manager to execute the fourth amendment to a professional services agreement with CSG Consultants, Inc. in an amount of an additional $100,000 to provide inspection services on an as-needed basis.

REPORT NARRATIVE:
On August 22, 2012, the City Council awarded professional services contract to CSG Consultants, Inc. for inspection services on Public Works Projects in the amount of $180,000. The first amendment was executed on October 30, 2013 and increased the amount to $330,000. The second amendment was executed on August 22, 2014 and increased the amount to $450,000. The third amendment was executed on December 19, 2014 and extended the professional service completion date to December 31, 2015.

During the last three years, CSG Consultants, Inc. has played a pivotal role providing much needed inspection services for developer initiated public works construction or for Capital Improvements Program (CIP) projects. Construction activity for both developer initiated and CIP projects and remains strong. In addition, the aggressive construction schedule for the Downtown projects has necessitated the need for a full time inspector to monitor construction and to interface with affected businesses.
