RECOMMENDATION(S)
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt resolution:
1. Accepting the Aquatics Center Irrigation Demonstration Project in the final amount of $46,282;
2. Authorizing the Community Services Director to sign the attached Notice of Completion; and
3. Directing the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion with the County of Santa Clara's Recorder's Office.

REPORT NARRATIVE:
The City Council awarded the contract for the Aquatics Center Irrigation Demonstration Project to Jensen Landscape Services, Inc. at its March 16, 2016 meeting. The project included the removal of an irrigation system and lawn area, and the installation of a KISSS Irrigation System in its place. The KISSS irrigation system is a new generation, cutting-edge technology that provides greater control over root zone conditions which dramatically reduces water consumption.

The work was completed on June 28, 2016 in accordance with the plans and specifications for the project. There were two change orders in the amounts of $2,030 and $475, respectively. The final contract amount was $46,282.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Inform
The project purposefully occurred during the off-season. Customers of the Aquatics Center were informed about the purpose of the project. Now that the project has been completed, the community will be informed about relevant results, as needed.
