RECOMMENDATION(S)
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt resolution:
1. Accepting the Community and Cultural Center Demonstration Project in the final amount of $253,705;
2. Authorizing the Community Services Director to sign the attached Notice of Completion; and
3. Directing the City Clerk to file the attached Notice of Completion with the County of Santa Clara's Recorder's Office.

REPORT NARRATIVE:
The City Council awarded the contract for the Community and Cultural Center Demonstration Project to Quality Landscape Service, Inc. at its February 3, 2016 meeting. The project included the removal of the existing turf and spray irrigation system and the planting of a water conservation demonstration garden.

The work was completed on June 28, 2016 in accordance with the plans and specifications for the project. There were two change orders in the amounts of $5,100 and $4,925. The final contract amount was $253,705.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Inform
The project is visible to the community and had already stimulated additional interest in water-wise gardening. City staff will continue to promote the project in order to maximize its value as a demonstration project.

None.
